Giant is similar in appearance to the popular hybrid Coastal Bermuda. It has the same erect and giant growth and vigorous spreading habits associated with Coastal. There is one major difference in that Coastal Bermuda does not seed, but the Giant variety does (Often also called NK37 Giant). Giant Bermudagrass grows tall enough to cut for hay, even on low fertility soils.
At a Yuma Arizona trial, measurements showed an average of 30 inches in height compared to 14-16 inches for common on same type soils. Four to Five cuttings a year are possible with Giant with Nitrogen a key factor in total tonnage production. With proper management, a cutting or grazing can be made as early as 50 days after seeding the field. Giant is a perennial grass that is alkali and heat tolerant.

I was worried about shipping, thinking there would be a trail of seeds from you to me but you packaged so well that not a single seed was lost. Thank you. Maybe after planting I’ll send another review
Price was good extremely fast delivery, shipped at a fair price in good condition. I will not open till spring when it’s time to plant but so far so good
I prepared my pastures to receive the seed. At a ratio of about 20 lb per acre, I spread the seed in February 2024. Used a section of railing from a railroad track to drag the area then fertilized and irrigated on February 7, 2024. Within 2 weeks I had sprouts galore. 6 weeks after seeding I was able to cut for the first time, although the harvest was much less than I’d hoped for, it just improved over time. I was able to harvest once a month and my gains were spectacular. I am preparing to seed another pasture this coming February and I plan on sowing approximately 30 lbs per acre of giant bermuda. Outstanding results, I was more than pleased with the product.

We brought in loads of dirt to raise up our land. 8 injured my knee. I had my husband and granddaughter throw out seed, literally for me because rain was finally in the forecast. No taking or preparing ground. Rain 2 days then nothing for 2 weeks. More rain forecasted sent my husband with more seed. He came back amazed grass was ankle deep. Our cows will love it. Easiest grass to grow.We didn't water or anything.

Received bag of seed in good condition. Dye was shipped in the same box. It was also placed in a plastic bag. It leaked inside the bag some, but luckily it didn’t bleed out. Not sure why a 50lb bag was shipped in a box with dye knowing how carriers handle their pkgs these days, but it managed to make it. . Got majority of seed planted, hoping it will be grow quickly after some rain.
