Sumagic Plant Growth Regulator



Sumagic Plant Growth Regulator is an effective growth retardant on a wide variety of ornamental crops. Sumagic reduces plant height by reducing internode elongation through inhibition of gibberellin biosynthesis. The result is more desirable compact and marketable plants. Sumagic has also been shown to increase the quality of plants even in the absence of growth reduction. Some of these desirable qualities include darker colors, higher chlorophyll content, greater leaf thickness, stronger stems, increased water retention and in some cases, increased flower number and size. Plant response to Sumagic is strongly influenced by cultural and environmental variables such as growing media, water/fertilizer management, temperature, light, growing house composition, and other cultural practices. Plant/container size and cultivar or variety can also affect height. First time users of Sumagic should treat a limited number of plants at the lowest recommended rate. Rate adjustments may then be made according to plant response. Sequential applications of lower rates may be made as necessary.
