RootShield Plus Wettable Powder Biological Fungicide

RootShield WP Biological Fungicide is a preventative biological fungicide for control of plant diseases. The active ingredients are the Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma virens strains, which when applied to seeds, transplants, or other propagative material, or to soil or planting mixes, grows onto plant roots as they develop and provides protection against plant root pathogens such as Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, Cylindrocladium and Thielaviopsis. RootShield can be used alone or in conjunction with certain chemical fungicides; consult RootShield compatibility chart, tank mix compatibility charts listed in product label below. RootShield WP becomes active in soil or on plants when temperatures are above 50 degrees Fahrenheit and is not effective while temperatures remain cold. This biological fungicide is for use in soil applications (drench, in soil furrow, potting soil, broadcast) in or on all raw agricultural commodities, food and fiber crops. It is also for use in soil applications (drench, in soil furrow, and potting soil) on ornamentals, landscape plants, and ornamental trees including tree seedlings for transplanting into the forest.

    Rootshield plus

Seed world has the best price on the Internet and ships promptly. I order a pound every late winter to minimize ground fungus on my dahlias. I start around 600 tubers and plants, treat them in mid May, and then give a second treatment 8 weeks later to last for the season. Before Rootshield, I would lose around 30 percent of the plants to ground fungus. Now my losses are more like 5 percent. Keep the product in the refrigerator for a shelf life of 6 months or in the freezer for 12 months.

Sadly, I did not know it needed to be refrigerated. So probably killed. EXPENSIVE mistake. Which the outside of the package had been marked NEEDS REFRIGERATION. =(
