Attractive shape has made SMR 58, developed by the University of Wisconsin, the standard home garden pickle for many years. Resistant to scab and mosaic. Spines are black, 6 1/2" (16.25 cm.) long and 2 1/2" (6.25 cm.) in diameter. Skin color is medium green. Non-genetically engineered.
Culture:Sow in groups (hills) of 6-8 seeds, 4'-6' (120-180 cm.) apart. Thin to 3 plants per group.

Suggestion:Plant Dill 2-3 weeks earlier for use in making pickles.
