Dal's Big River Crabgrass is a bunch grass and a runner type grass. In ample space with good soil and moisture, the runners can spread over six-feet side to side and stems scan grow up to 3 feet tall, all from only one small seed. Crabgrass is also a high moisture lush grass with a long growing season and can produce up to and over, 12,000 lbs./ac in dry weight. Crabgrass has a fine stem which makes for a good grazing and hay suitable for cattle, horses, sheep, and goats.
