Sedgehammer Turf Herbicide

Sedgehammer is a selective herbicide for the control of nutsedge and other weeds in turfgrass and landscaped areas.

Controls yellow and purple nutsedge and certain tough broadleaf weeds like horsetail, as well as suppressing green kyllinga
Low use rate (1 1/3 oz/Acre or less) or .9 grams per 1000 square feet
Controls nutsedge by moving through the plant and affecting the underground growing points (rhizomes and tubers)
It controls nutsedge after emergence in cool and warm season turfgrass (including St. Augustinegrass, Bermudagrass, Kentucky bluegrass, tall and fine fescue, and perennial ryegrass)
Considered as one of the more “gentle to turfgrass” products
Pets and people can return to treated area once spray dries

Active ingredient: 75% Halosulfuron-methyl

Pa. recurring. nutsedge problem.

Sage Hammer is the one product that works to stop Nutsedge in Pennsylvania. Lawn companies won't tell you what they use. It may take 234 applications. This product really works and keeps it away for several years until it comes back again, but it works.

The jury is still out

I put it down on the 10 th. While it was approximately 4 inches. Then a couple A couple day later applied again next day it was cut. I’ll let you know if it comes back.

Nutgrass...Sedgehammer
