Large, smooth leaf type on semi-upright 16"-22" (40-55 cm) tall spreading plant. Oval serrated dark green leaves 8"-10" (20-25 cm) long with tender cream colored midribs. Grows vigorously, popular in the south. Non-genetically engineered.


Culture: Direct sow seed as soon as soil can be worked in the spring and again every 3 weeks until late spring for successive plantings. Sow again in late summer for fall crop. Water regularly and fertilize when 3" (7.5 cm.) tall.

Harvest: Young leaves for salads; full sized leaves for greens.

Nutrition: Rich source of vitamins A and C and some minerals.

Planting depth: 1/4" (6 mm.)
Seed spacing: 1" (2.5 cm.)
Spacing between rows: 12"-18" (30-45 cm.)
Days to germination: 7-14
Spacing after thinning: 4"-6" (10-15 cm.)
