The label specifically states that Golden Malrin® must not be used in or around homes or any place where children or pets are likely to be present. It also prohibits access by food-producing animals or pets to treated areas.
Compliance and Safety Notice
Golden Malrin® Fly Bait is now classified as a Restricted Use Pesticide. The EPA announced in 2025 that all methomyl products are RUPs and may only be applied by certified applicators. The product label states it is for retail sale to and use only by certified applicators, or persons under their direct supervision, and only for uses covered by the applicator’s certification.
This product must be used strictly according to label directions. It is illegal and dangerous to use Golden Malrin® Fly Bait to target raccoons, skunks, opossums, coyotes, wolves, dogs, cats, or any other non-target species.
